The smell of grass, the perfect strike of the ball, and the adrenaline rushing through my
body are everything I love about playing golf. Since I laid my hands on a golf club, I knew I had
found my passion. To achieve excellence in golf, I frequently practice on the range and analyze
professionals and mentors to improve my game.

As my coaches have told me on numerous occasions, I am very coachable, always
looking for ways to elevate my game, congenial, and always ready to play my best. Golf has
been very influential in many aspects of my life, from creating everlasting bonds with my
coaches and teammates to using lessons from the course to enhance my focus in the
classroom, where I am top 7% of my class. It has also taught me to give back to my community
through my nonprofit organization, The Project Spark.

Golf has also taught me that nothing in life is easy. To get better and overcome
challenges, you must stay focused on the goal and practice harder than anyone else. Nothing
in life is given to you; rather, it has to be earned. Taking these valuable lessons from on the
green to off the green in pursuit of my academic and professional goals is something I strive to
do daily.
